Majority of the patients are from Chennai, Andhra
Pradesh, Karnataka, Puducherry and Kerala. We have
also operated on a large number of patients with
prostate enlargement from Oman, Saudi Arabia, Rwanda
and Bhutan.
Emergencies: Patients who approached us with
pain due to kidney and ureteric stones were managed
on a emergency basis for pain relief. They underwent
prompt IVP and CT Scans to access kidney function
and degree of obstruction. We have also managed many
patients who came to us with kidney failure due to
stones. Pneumatic Lithotripsy is a minimally
invasive procedure which gives complete relief,
requiring only a 48 hour stay in the hospital.
Accident: Many trauma victims of road accidents
have bladder and urethral injuries which require
emergency resuscitation, diagnostic studies and
emergency procedures like suprapubic diversion of
urine and repair of bladder and urethral rupture
requiring complex procedures. All our patients who
underwent urethral repair have had remarkable
recovery with excellent functional results.
