Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine
The Department of Pulmonary Medicine provides
state-of-the-art care for respiratory diseases like:
Bronchial asthma, COPD, Bronchitis, Lung Cancer,
Tuberculosis, Pneumonia, Pleural Disease, Allergy and Sleep
Disorders. We also deal with respiratory emergencies like
exacerbation of Asthma, Haemoptysis, Chest wall injuries in
trauma patients, Lung contusions and pulmonary embolisms.
Pulmonary Function Lab

The Department is well equipped with an Ultra Modern
Pulmonary Function Lab for Spirometry, Lung Volumes,
Diffusion Capacity, Respiratory Drive, Bronchoprovocation
Test, Allergic Skin Test, Airway Resistance and Chest Wall
compliance. |
Bronchoscopy Suite
One of the
important procedures performed here is diagnostic and
therapeutic Bronchoscopy. The procedures are performed in a
dedicated Bronchoscopy suite with Video Bronchoscope.
Interventional Pulmonology
Advanced
Bronchoscopy techniques like foreign body removal,
Transbronchial lymph node aspiration, Bronchial stents,
Electrocautery for Endobronchial lesions, Endobronchial
brachytherapy are also offered.
Asthma & Allergic Disease
The Department is involved in allergy testing,
asthma education and counseling as well as treatment of all
types of allergic respiratory disease.
Respiratory Intensive Care Unit
For management of critical patients with
respiratory failure, a fully equipped respiratory ICU is
available with the most advanced ventilators and Bipap
Machines.
The Department is
headed by specialists in Pulmonary and Critical care
medicine who are ably supported by trained respiratory
nurses and physiotherapists as well as technicians.

Sleep Lab |

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Centre
Specially trained
respiratory physiotherapists are available for
rehabilitation of patients with chronic and obstructive
pulmonary disease and other chronic lung conditions.
Sleep Lab
The Department is
equipped with a state-of-the-art lab which helps in the
diagnosis of all types of sleep disorders including sleep
apnea, snoring, narcolepsy, etc.
