Comprehensive Treatment plan from the 'Tumour Board'
There are three primary treatment approaches to cancer - Medical oncology (chemotherapy), onco-surgery and radiotherapy. You may be advised to undergo either one or a combination of these treatments. For instance you may undergo chemotherapy or radiotherapy to shrink the size of the tumour before surgery.

At MIOT, you have the most effective approach in the 'Tumour Board' where specialists from these 3 treatment modes work with doctors from MIOT’s other specialties like Orthopaedics, Liver

specialists (Gastro), neurosurgeons, cosmetic surgeons etc. At MICC, these doctors, armed with the fullest information that modern diagnostics can provide, form the ‘Tumour Board’ which meets thrice every week to plan the most effective treatment for each case.

This is your personal cancer fighting team who will be with you every step of the way. MIOT has 35 specialists available to consult on oncology.

MICC Advanced Laboratory

The 'cure' actually begins in the Laboratory. MICC's 24 hour lab, spread over 6000 sq.ft and manned by expert technicians is ranked 8th in the world. With a high level of automation and stringent quality control systems in place the Lab identifies and grades cancer tissues accurately.

Then, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, trained technicians analyze the tumour at a molecular level and recommends drugs or a line of treatment which can work most effectively against the disease. This not only gives patients a headstart but also aids our oncologists to track and adopt different treatments based on response.
