Surgery deals
with complex gastrointestinal surgical procedures using
the latest minimally invasive techniques. The Department
is equipped with technically advanced instruments and
equipments for complete care for all gastro intestinal
surgical procedures. Department of Laparoscopic, Upper
GI and Bariatric Surgery is ably supported by the MIOT advanced
Centre for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases which
hosts the best infrastructure for diagnosing all
gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

Department of Laparoscopic, Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery is headed
by Dr. N.S. Balaji who specializes in Upper GI and Bariatric
Surgery using latest laparoscopic techniques. Oesophageal
Physiology, Oesophageal Manometry, Investigation of GERD and
Motility disorders of the Oesophagus, Oesophageal and
Gastric Cancer and Corrosive injuries are also his special
areas of expertise. |
Dr. N.S. Balaji,
was trained in the UK and USA and has worked in
institutions of International reputation within India
and abroad for over a decade.
The holistic mutli-speciality environment at MIOT
